McTavish's Wasagaming Lodge is located in Wasagaming - Clear Lake, a town we're sure will capture your heart!
Wasagaming is located on Clear Lake which is at the south-gate entrance to Riding Mountain National Park, a vast federal park land - more then 1,500 square miles filled with inspiring scenery, unspoiled wilderness, wildlife, a multitude of recreational opportunities for all ages, and a lot of unique events.
Wasagaming townsite boasts lovely beaches, tennis courts, lawn bowling, horseback riding, water sports, a championship 18-hole golf course, and many other fun activities. You will also find over thirty unique shops and restaurants to discover! After an adventurous day of hiking or mountain biking, sit back, relax and enjoy an evening at the largest log cabin movie-theatre in North America.
With all the beautiful scenery and wildlife, Clear Lake is a photographer's wonderland. Take a tour to Lake Audy and view the Bison Buffalo in their natural habitat. Perhaps you'd enjoy the Authentic Indian Village at Lake Katherine! The area is also popular for hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, bird watching, elk bugling and wolf howling safaris, and much more!
There are over 40 trails; Front country, designated for short to moderate day trips, or for the serious backpacker, the Backcountry trails. The trails provide access to the Park's three major environments: the Manitoba Escarpment and the Hardwood Forest along its base; the Northern or Boreal Forest with thick stands of evergreens and moss filled bogs; and the open prairies and aspen forests of the Western Highland.
